It’s very neon in real life! I would recommend this one if you need a bold, bright lip for a night out. This is more my kind of colour, although it is still a little too light for my liking. This is Pinkerbell, which is supposed to be a dupe for MAC’s Viva Glam Nicki. It would probably suit most skin tones, and it is supposed to be a dupe for MAC Creme Cup or MAC Angel. Think Pink is a beautiful, natural-looking, everyday pink. I use these three because it’s what I had on hand. The lip balm acts as a kind of primer and prepares your lips so that lipstick formula glides on smoothly.

The nude pencil (this one is actually a creamy eye pencil) will help define your cupid’s bow area and conceal mistakes around the lips. The lip pencil lines your lips and prevents the colour bleeding. To be honest, you could use any three products as long as they do the same thing. A Jordana lip pencil, a nude Rimmel pencil, and a Nivea lip balm. When applying lipstick, there are a few very basic tools that I use: a creamy pencil in my skin tone, a lip pencil that matches my natural lip colour, and a lip balm. Sometimes I use a lip brush too, and with darker and brighter lipsticks it is best to use a lipliner that matches your lipstick colour.įor basic prevention of bleeding and feathering, I just use these three things. Luckily I discovered this sooner rather than later, and with these lower-cost Wet N Wild lipsticks instead of with MAC lipsticks.
